Hi,
MX *Title Control breaks a url_title conversion for High ASCII characters or it messes up Foreign Character Extension i have installed. When i disable MX *Title Control all works ok.
I also have these extensions installed:
http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/draggable/
http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/missing-link/
Matrix
http://pixelandtonic.com/divebar - P&T Field Pack
I have EE 2.1.0 20100720
EDIT: i wanted to write a few of those High ASCII characters here in this post just to show you the characters in question but i was getting this error:
A Database Error Occurred
Error Number: 1267
Illegal mix of collations (latin1_swedish_ci,IMPLICIT) and (utf8_general_ci,COERCIBLE) for operation '='
SELECT COUNT(*) AS count FROM xxx_forum_topics WHERE body = 'Hi, nnMX *Title Control breaks a url_title conversion

(??Ä‘??ćÄ?) or it messes up Foreign Character Extension i have installed.
When i disable MX *Title Control all works ok.nnI also have these
n'

Thanks,
The title package was updated.
But you will needed to disable prev. version of title control before update.
p.s. regarding db error - I will update my Forum version on this week.
It works now, thanks
Hello!
Today I installed your brilliant extension on Expression Engine 2.1.0 (build 20100810), and I seem to have the same problem, even though you say it has been resolved.
Since I mostly develop site for local (Swedish) clients, characters like å ä ö will be frequently used in entry titles. The URL Title field auto-fill function works fine until some special characters are typed in.
For instance, if I paste the sentence “Det här är en fin rubrik” into the title field, the url_title field will display nothing. If I instead type in the title manually, the url_title auto-fill will stop after the first word, since the second word contains a “forbidden” character.
Any ideas? ![]()
Best regards
Johan
Johan, do you have Foreign Character Extension installed?
No, the only addons I have installed are MX Title Control and Pixel & Tonic’s WYGWAM module.
for supporting Swedish in url_titles you need to have Foreign Character Extension
Lovely, thanks for letting me know
It works like a charm now!
